Early American Christians turned to the Bible and found not only themselves in prophecy but the begotten Son everywhere they looked. The Advent Movement, following its bitter-sweet birth in reading Daniel 8:14, became grounded on two Scriptures: 1Corinthians 8:6 and John 5:6.
