My Father of Love

(Dedicated to all those battling to believe they are forgiven - KNOW that you are)

I knelt with my head down, my heart beat heavy within me.

I knew where I was, and what this meant, I was afraid to see.

I saw the hand first, as it came into my sight,

And looked up into a wonderful face, with hair that was all white.

The face was full of mercy and love, I couldn’t believe the welcome.

I leapt up into the open arms and knew that I was home.

My Heavenly Father held me tight as I wept upon His chest,

Well done my child, He said to me, come in and find perfect rest.
